London Cycling Campaign

What we were asked to do

FACT: Women get tonnes of abuse when cycling around London, and it's wrong. We were asked to create a video, report and other elements for a campaign to highlight this to the Mayor of London as well as other policy makers and the general public.

What we did

Got genuinely, quite upset about the statistics and stories behind this headline. But after we'd calmed down we got to work on a film that was agile (meaning we were pressed for time), and accessible to all. Getting out and about to meet with some of the women who had received abuse, we formed their stories into a coherent campaign that championed the women's own voices (these aren't actors), and gave them a platform from which to shout about the injustice.

To support the film, we designed the report that was used the lobby government, alongside a suite or static and animated infographics for both the report and social media.

What they thought about it

"Just to say a huge thank you on behalf of all the team here! Amazing work from all, thank you so much!"

"All the videos are spot-on. The sound quality and colour on all of them is excellent and they look really slick. A huge thank you and we can’t wait to see the reception they get in the real world."

"A huge thank you as well. You’ve all been extremely flexible, patient and professional throughout. Hope to work with you again soon. The launch event went really well last night, and there was high praise for both the report and the video from some very senior people.

The video a large number of views and the report was also picked up by the Evening Standard and is getting lots of interest on social media. Thanks again!"
