How we work
Collaboration, innovation and enjoyment are at the heart of everything we do at Yarn.
We love nothing more than working closely with a client to create engaging and inspiring stories that are a force for good.
This means if you choose us for one of your projects, you can expect a whole lot of this:
Deep digging
At the beginning of every project, we always make sure we invest the time needed to fully understand who you are, your brief, your target audiences and your goals. It’s from this solid foundation that we achieve exceptional results.
Meticulous planning
We love a project that runs to time, comes in on budget and is completely stress free. You love a project that runs to time, comes in on budget and is completely stress free. That’s why we’ll be on top of every detail and deadline throughout your project.
Wow creative
We collaborate closely with our clients and as a team to craft stories that grab people’s attention, win their hearts and minds, and inspire them to take action. We truly believe that stories can spark meaningful change in people and make the world a better place.
Friendly support
Questions answered quick smart. Expert advice on tap. And a few belly laughs and giggles thrown in for good measure. Life is far too short for boring, unrewarding projects. So, we do all we can to make sure your story with us is genuinely enjoyable.
Our clients
We’re proud to work with a wide range of charities and purpose-led organisations that have a positive impact on the world and its people.
Why we do what we do
Our team members have all dabbled in using their super powers to sell commercial products and services that people don’t necessarily need. Uninspiring and unrewarding work that left them feeling pretty empty.
Thankfully, our eyes were opened to the idea that creativity and telling stories can actually be used to make life better for people in our own communities and beyond. Once this discovery took place, there was never going to be any turning back.
Today, we’re a passionate bunch of senior thinkers, creators and planners who wholeheartedly believe in using our skills, experiences and expertise to make the world a better place. Something we’re pretty darn good at. Makes us feel happy inside. And means we get to work with amazing people and organisations.
What's important to us?

"The team were fantastic to work with, taking the time to fully understand our objectives and brand, and were flexible and responsive throughout the design process. We are very happy with the array of bold and engaging templates that we’re now able to use in a variety of ways across our social media. We’re already noticing the difference they are making to our both our engagement levels and the efficiency of our team output."
Katy Leach
Communications Officer, Medical Research Foundation
"We had a small budget, so it was a risk. But it was a risk worth taking because we are so proud of that film."
Teresa Griffiths
Chief Executive, Nurse Lifeline
"Working with you on our new mindfulness video was a really great experience. It was a new area of content for us, and it was also the first time we were using our new brand in video form. We felt that the team really understood what direction we wanted to go in from the outset, and their flexibility when it came to testing new ideas was so appreciated. We are so pleased with the final assets and look forward to working on more projects together in the future."
