What we were asked to do

Design SmallTalk, the NSPCC's inaugural summer 2020 supporter newsletter during the pandemic. Dive into the complex challenges facing the NSPCC—impacting services and supporters alike. Gain insight into the evolving understanding of the coronavirus's effects on children's welfare.

What we did

Crafting compelling narratives focussed on how fundraisers conquered lockdown challenges, children navigated isolation, and services moved online with corporate support. Design and copy seamlessly blended, creating clear, approachable layouts within NSPCC guidelines. Close collaboration with the client enabled real-time content updates, including last-minute tweaks for optimal supporter engagement. These tales portrayed a tapestry of strength, creativity, and collaboration during challenging times, underscoring the NSPCC's unwavering commitment to children's well-being.

What they thought

Teaming up with the NSPCC for Small Talk proved to be a huge success! Despite Small Talk not being solely about fundraising, it exceeded its income target by an impressive 61%. Surpassing its response goal by 55%, the client enthusiastically praised it as "a real testament to what a great newsletter this was." A fantastic collaboration, demonstrating that even a newsletter can have a significant impact when executed effectively!
