What we were asked to do
Revamp the 4th edition of Respect’s Accreditation Standard. There were two digital documents: one for the main publication, which needed the standards updating in a clear and easy to use fashion, and another for evidence submission, which would deliver applications to assessors in a clear and logical way. Both had to be accessible and screen reader-friendly, with hyperlinked content throughout.
What we did
In reimagining the 4th edition, we prioritised accessibility and screen reader compatibility. Streamlining navigation and with hyperlinking content pages, ensuring precision and clarity to meet evolving needs. We included sections 'What the assessor is looking for' and 'Evidence examples' to help guide applicants with their applications. As the subject matter was difficult to visually represent in photography we used illustrations throughout, meaning we could tackle complex topics. The added benefit was that we could breathe renewed relevance and visual depth into the presentation.
What they thought about it
"The team was tasked with the design and layout of Respect’s fourth edition of our accreditation standards. The document needed to be branded and functional and accompanied by a separate template to be used for the submission of evidence against those standards, in an accessible and easy to use format. The team took great care at every stage of the process, ensuring our requirements were met within the timelines we had agreed, whilst remaining flexible, friendly and approachable throughout. I have no hesitation recommending them"
