What we were asked to do
Design a spring appeal focused on children at risk of losing their vision due to strabismus and highlight Orbis’ efforts in providing surgery and treatment onboard the Flying Eye Hospital.
We need to inspire supporters to donate by emphasising that strabismus, if left untreated, can lead to blindness.
What we did
The creative concept, "The Impossible Dream," emphasised the overwhelming challenges Zipporah faces due to strabismus and the critical need for her to receive treatment.
An emotional letter from Nadine, a volunteer recovery nurse, allowed Orbis' supporters to understand Zipporah's life and how her future could be different with their help.
The SV and MV lifts showcased facts about the Flying Eye Hospital and the training that occurs there, providing valuable insights into strabismus and highlighting the importance of donations to prevent sight loss.
What they thought
"I have really enjoyed working with Yarn over the last 18 months. They are always engaged in our appeals and case stories, providing interesting concepts for us to choose from. At feedback stages, they listen to our comments and are happy to discuss changes if needed. The account management has also been excellent."
