What we were asked to do
The Orbis summer appeal focused on the story of Medhanit, a 6-year-old girl diagnosed with trachoma, a painful and potentially blinding eye disease. This campaign aimed to raise awareness about the devastating impact of trachoma, especially on young children, and the urgency of early intervention.

What we did
We developed a direct mail pack that not only highlighted Medhanit's personal struggle but also educated recipients on the broader implications of trachoma. By illustrating the life-altering consequences of untreated trachoma, we aimed to inspire immediate action and support for Orbis’s mission to combat this preventable disease.
The pack included a letter and a diary entry from Dinknesh, a healthcare worker conducting the trachoma impact survey.
Additional lift pieces outlined the road to elimination, featuring a timeline that emphasised the historic journey toward ending trachoma.

What they thought
The client was really pleased with the outcome specifically the way in which the jeopardy with delicately showcased.
