What we were asked to do
ReLondon asked us to help bring their second annual impact report to life by providing copy editing and graphic design support. The report, covering the 2023–2024 financial year, needed to clearly show who ReLondon is, what they do, and the difference they’re making in pushing London towards a more circular economy. They gave us the data and a draft of the content, and our job was to edit the copy, come up with a couple of design options based on their existing style, and create a final version that worked both digitally and in print.
We were also asked to suggest how the report could be brought onto their website in a more dynamic way, and to create some visual assets for online use and social media. The end result needed to be clear, engaging, and easy to digest – something that would really resonate with funders, partners, and anyone interested in their work.
What we did
Once we got started, we came up with and shared three design concepts, each with a different take on how much to evolve the look and feel from the previous year’s report. The final concept focused on using ReLondon’s brand illustrations in a more grown-up, polished way—moving away from anything that felt too playful. Instead, we used the illustrations to draw attention to key messages, facts, and figures throughout the report.
We broke the content down into clear, easy-to-follow sections, adding in the right mix of imagery, icons, and graphics to support the story visually. When it came to the copy, plain English was a top priority—we made sure everything was written in a simple, direct way so it would be easy for all audiences to understand.
To support the launch of the report, we also created a set of illustrative web assets. These were added to the ReLondon site alongside the report, helping to showcase the content in a consistent and visually engaging way across both digital platforms and the report itself.

What they thought
“We really enjoyed working with the fantastic and friendly Yarn team on our impact report. Their copywriting and design services were excellent, and we really valued the strong communication and robust project management process throughout the project to ensure we kept on track and delivered on time. We’re really pleased with our final report and look forward to working with the team on another project in the future.”
